Today, I will discuss the easiest but most valuable issue ever made. All the other things, such as shop design and product design, do not matter. If you have a winning FB Campaign, this is where the money is made.

CAMPAIGN SETUP

To be honest,

Dropshipping to the EU is straightforward regarding campaign setup; we have always used this setup, and it will never change.

Neither for countries nor for any circumstance, it is always the same, we never change that for any market!

CONVERSION CAMPAIGNS

Conversion campaign, lowest cost, Always CBO! There is no need to explain; the moment we started CBO was gold.

We usually start testing at 50 euros per product, we only have one campaign product per country.

We always do automatic bidding at the lowest cost and have never changed that.

AD SETS

Start with one ad set, always optimize for purchases, no warm-up ATC BS, FB knows how to sell, always go full broad!

NO TARGETING, no interests, target the country, for example, German store, GERMANY, Austria and Luxembourg always 16-65+.

Ad set: Always go for all placements.

PRO TIP

For women products, only target women; for men, products target BOTH genders.

ADS

Creatives - we usually have 1-3 creatives per ad set, always one collage (1:1), one big product picture, up to three small ones (1:1), and most of the time, a video if available (1:1)

Sometimes, a single product image or single video only (Only if you think the image or video is good enough), for home decor and fashion, collage is always king for us.

ADS - TEXT

Bro, we keep it simple with one-line descriptions, try to use 3 / 4 nice keywords, a second line “Buy here” - then a shortened link to the products, one smiley and done.

ADS - TITLE AND DESCRIPTION

Title and description.

The title we usually go for is “Free shipping in the native language.” With a smiley.

For description, we do not write anything.

PRO TIP

If you are doing fashion or home decor products, change the background of all and add creatives with Canva to make your ad look unique.

That’s the setup; you need nothing besides that to test, man! Let’s get into scaling.

It is easy; if the product is profitable, we take the whole revenue of the product to check the real ROAS within your Shopify store.

There might be some cross-buying in action, but you can’t have it 100% accurate and don’t need it.

INCREASING BUDGETS

Usually, we go for these steps every 48H, so always look at two days of spending and two days of actual store ROAS!

Whether a product is profitable or not, you must do the math.

We usually take these steps every 48H:

$50 → $100 - $100 → $200 - $200 → $500 - $500 → $1000 - $1000 → $2000, and so on.

Disclaimer: The highest daily spend for a single product was $4000

INCREASE OR DECREASE?

Again, do the math.

Is the absolute profit higher than the ad budget spent on the step before - yes, increase tier. No? Go back to the lower tier.

Roas is only as important as your profit allows.

Let’s do an example:

You run 50 euros campaigns and make 200 euros in revenue, profit 100 euros, and increase the budget after two days.

100 euros spent, 400 euros revenue, 200 euros profit. Greate, increase again.

200 euros spent, 400 euros revenue, 100 euros profit, bad; go back to 100 euros and look again after 48H.

Just try to find the sweet spot for the ABSOLUTE PROFIT!

Roas is relative because it is always connected to your profit margin before spend!

We always try to keep COGS around 30% so we know the ROAS we need to be profitable.

The more you test, the higher the budgets you will have, and the more money you will make; it is as easy as it sounds.

RETARGETING.

Maybe you ask yourself, why CBO with only one ad set?

LET ME EXPLAIN:

I got you; if the campaign is active for at least 4 days (Budget usually 100/200euro), we duplicate the ad set within the campaign and make a retargeting ad set out of it.

Therefore, only change one thing: create a customer audience with website visitors of the product store link.

That’s it; no need to do more than that; the more money spent on the campaign, the more will be “moved” to the retargeting ad set.

PRO TIP

If you feel no new good product comes up after testing for 7 - 10 days without an additional “winner”.

Do the following: Duplicate an existing winner so that it is twice in the store, and give it a slightly different name.

Now run two different campaigns instead of one, and give both campaigns 25 euros instead of 50.

The only thing you change in comparison to the above setup is that one product only targets IOS devices, and the other only targets Android devices.

Of course, you need to do the targeting within the ad set level within the campaigns.

You can measure your sales even better this way because one product “name” (V1 of the products) is only bought by IOS users.

And the second one (V2 of the products) is only bought by Android users.

📣 SPOTLIGHT

AGENCY ADD ACCOUNTS.

The most important way to make FB work in 2024 is through agency accounts!

Agency accounts aren’t all the same!

We learned that the hard way: we pay a small fee to our partner, and they usually do not onboard drop shippers.

But we have been working with them for 2 years - no bans or spending limits on the add accounts.

I stopped worrying about FB the second we started using agency accounts.

We tested many agency accounts before; for these accounts, we had to do some compliance stuff to get them; they are worth every penny.
